Richard Lee Roark, age 53, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.
Richard was born in Harford County, MD and was preceded in death by his father Oscar Roark. Richard worked for many years in construction, and for 20 years at Visador, before becoming disabled from a motorcycle accident. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to everyone.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda Roark; sister, Robin Lynn Potter and husband Scott of Rural Retreat, VA; Pamela Hall, whom he considered a sister; niece, Tabitha Lynn Price and great niece Isabelle Grayce Shoemaker all of Rural Retreat, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Bradley’s Funeral Home chapel in Marion with Pastor Tim Farmer officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to services. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley’s Funeral Home, Marion is serving the Roark family.

Richard was my neighbor when I was a child. He, Robin, Brenda and Oscar were a huge part of my childhood. This was heartbreaking to hear about. I had so many wonderful memories of Richard. Prayers to Brenda, Robin and your family through this trying time. With Love
