Richard Lee Roark, age 53, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.


Richard was born in Harford County, MD and was preceded in death by his father Oscar Roark.  Richard worked for many years in construction, and for 20 years at Visador, before becoming disabled from a motorcycle accident. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to everyone.  


He is survived by his mother, Brenda Roark; sister, Robin Lynn Potter and husband Scott of Rural Retreat, VA; Pamela Hall, whom he considered a sister; niece, Tabitha Lynn Price and great niece Isabelle Grayce Shoemaker all of Rural Retreat, VA.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Bradley’s Funeral Home chapel in Marion with Pastor Tim Farmer officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to services. I am surprised & saddened by Richard's passing. We were friends for many yrs. Very nice guy. I was a close friend of Robin throughout school. Prayers for the family during this difficult time.

Mr. Roarkie...boy the fun we had in our younger years. 4 wheeling, riding around listening to music, and the malls. I cant believe you are gone now...you will be truly missed. Thoughts & Prayers for the family.
