Richard was born on March 12, 1949 and passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016. Richard was a resident of Chester, Vermont at the time of his passing. Rich graduated from Pearl River High School in Pearl River NY in 1967. A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 23 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Andover Community Church 928 Andover Road Andover VT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Monadnock Folklore Society www.monadnockfolk.org or the Northeast Organic Farming Association.
I knew Rich from contra dancing. He was such a gentle spirit and seemed like such a caring person. I never exchanged more with him than a few words but he always left an impression of gentleness and peace that would resonate with me throughout the rest of the dance. I'm very sad that I won't be seeing him at any more dances but I'm sure his gentle presence will continue to be felt. He touched so many of us.
