Not sure what to say?

Dick & Barbara Rucker were the parents of my best friend/brother Roger. Roger and I spent countless hours/days/years at their house. Roger and I were best friends/brothers as kids through elementary school through to college and beyond. As teenagers, we sat in the Rucker's sunken marble bar watching Burt Bacharach play the Rucker's black baby grand piano while composing such songs as 'What the world needs now', 'Raindrops', and a myriad of other musical classics now forming the 'last years of...

I first met Dick in the summer of 1967. We worked together for the next 20 years and I truly wish it could have 20 more. In my many years of working in the business, I only met a handfull of people that had the dedication to perfection, professionalism and loyalty to friends that Dick exhibited every day of his life. His love for his family and work is something that made me a better person from just having been around him. Though they were not often enough, I am going to miss my visits and...

MY WARMEST THOUGHTS AND WISHES TO BARBARA, AND ALL OF DICKS FAMILY AND FRIENDS, AN EXTREMELY TALENTED MAN, DIRECTOR, MENTOR, AND FRIEND IN THE T.V. COMMERCIAL ARENA AND BEYOND. GOD BLESS, ....K.B.

To know Dick Rucker was to know a true gentleman, a great creative partner and a wonderful and multi-talented man. What a pleasure it was to be in his company and how blessed we all were with his presence in our lives. His passing diminishes all our lives but his memory will help us all rise above his loss.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

During his television commercial production years at Bluebird, Inc. I had the honor of working with Dick Rucker as his company attorney. I was a newish attorney and he was already a very successful Producer-Director-Cameraman doing commercials for Fortune 50 companies. Dick kept me busy for many years with a variety of new and interesting matters and a constant challenge: no matter how complex, he wanted every contract kept to a single page. Sometimes I succeeded, but more often I found it...
