Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to learn of Dick's passing! After knowing him since the early 1960s, he always was a fine gentleman with a kind word and a big smile! It is comforting to know that he lived a long, fruitful and happy life! I used to frequent the Platte Woods Pizza Shop where either Dick or his staff allowed me the privilege to drink beer and eat on the "honor system"! Invariably, when I stepped up to pay for my four beers, Dick would say "you only had two beers"! Arguing with him didn't...

We are so sorry to hear about Mr Ryan. (He will always be Mr Ryan to me) We were out of town, so were unable to attend the service. We always had great times at Kerry Patch, Pizza Shoppe and the lake!!! He made great Irish coffee:) and always had a smile. My heart and thoughts are with you and again I'm so sorry I could not attend the services.

To Loreta and the entire Ryan Family,

Please except my condolences as I was totally saddened to find out of Dick's recent passing. I have and always will have great memories from working for Dick and Loreta at Kerry Patch. A fun and very memorable time of my life. For some people one meets going through this world, it truly is hard to find all the right words that can actually describe what they meant to you. And Dick was one of those very special people. I will always remember...

Lifelong friend will be sadly missed but forever remembered. Thoughts and prayers go out to Loretta and the rest of the Ryan clan.

God's speed to a very extra-ordinary gentleman and family. Our deepest condolences and prayers. We have lost a NKCHS Hornet, a KC and Northland shining star, and a friend to so many. Dick and the family did so much for the community and residents...so many things without anyones knowledge. Great memories. Thank you for so very much.

We Sisters remember Dick as a very kind and generous Irishman who lived his faith and cherished his family. I loved his laugh.

Very sorry to hear the news of Mr. Ryan's passing. My first job while in high school was working at Ryan's Kerry Patch.
The castle on Barry road that stood above the other restaurants in the Northland. Can still picture those fun, busy nights back in the kitchen and hear the sound of piano playing from the bar.
Also, met two good friends while working there that I still keep in touch with. Thirty years later, we still refer back to the "good ol' KP days".
My deepest condolences to...

RIP our Friend
