Dick was a very close friend and confident at Holladay Park Plaza, and is greatly missed. We got to know each other in afternoon gatherings where we discussed issues of common concern: health, politics, Black Lives Matter, and events that shaped our lives. The group enjoyed Dick’s contributions, sometimes caustic, sometimes humorous, but always perceptive and welcome.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and family, Marilynn. Dick was always the consummate gentleman, clinician and advocate for patients and colleagues. Joan and I often reflected on you and Dick as wonderful models for families and professionals. Sick was a good fellow. I loved his engaging conversations. I am pleased to read about all he accomplished.

He was my friend. He was curious and witty and very smart. When younger, he must have been a force to be reckoned with.

Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, funny, interesting, kind, gentle, helpful, athletic, upbeat are words that come to mind.
