I remember Coach Sample from my days at SJ. I was there around the same time as the twins. He always had a smile on his face and was a nice guy to everyone. Prayers to the family in their time of need.

Hold your heads high for Coach Rick Sample was one of the best men to ever grace any hallway, court, field or courses. Rick was a true professional and my friend. Mary and Rick helped me get my first coaching job at San Jacinto in 1990 and I still use some of the strategies he taught me today. Rest in peace Rick and God Bless this Family.

My heart is sad, but Heaven certainly gained a great angel. Coach Sample encouraged my goals and dreams. I was lucky to have him as a teacher and coach at SJ and MHS. Love you Coach! Prayers to all the family. Like so many, we all loved this great man.
