Not sure what to say?

To the Sampliner Family: Dick was a great friend to me, and my dad Bob George. I just found out 7/23/2025 that he passed (yesterday). He was a witty, intelligent man who cared about everyone. He and my dad are probably telling jokes to each other in Heaven right now. Rest in Peace, Richard Sampliner With Love, Mike George

Saddened to just learn of the loss of this wonderful, great man. My deepest sympathies to his family, even as late this post is after his passing. I worked with him towards the end of his career in medicine. He was revered and respected and loved by so many. He touched my life in a positive way, and I was blessed to have known him. May he Rest in Peace.

Dr. Sampliner diagnosed my Barrett´s esophagus in the Summer of 1997 and said at the time that my case was the earliest that he had seen in his studies so far. He resolved my case with one of his colleagues and saved me from a major operation! Kreg H. Kneeland

Linda, so very sorry to hear of dear Dick's passing. So glad we were all together just a few days prior. We all laughed, talked, shared as usual...who knew that time was so short.. We share deeply in your loss. My heart goes out to you, Rob, Steve and Gabe. Hugs and love, Jan

Dick, so glad we shared fun horseback rides in the Catalina foothills, such fun. And many celebrations and holidays. I shall miss your smile and laugh, your quick wit, sense of humor, kindness and generosity. Happy heavenly trails to you. Jan Gingold

Good memories of Passover in Tuscon when visiting Lois and Al, and getting to spend time with you. Tom and I are thinking of you Linda and the rest of your family...

Linda, I. Was so sorry to hear about Dick´s passing. Dick was certainly one of a kind. It truly was an honor to work with him and train under him. He was an extraordinary clinician, educator and mentor. He asked me once if I was a thinker or a doer. He liked the fact that I said I was more of a thinker. Then he told me one of his favorite quotes: "Don´t just do something, stand there". That has stuck with me to this day. He will be missed by many. I know you are going through a very...

We were so saddened to hear of Dick´s passing today. I will always finally remember him as my best and favorite mentor in medical training. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys, Linda, love, Vince and Lorna

Linda - just found out about Dick´s passing. I have distinct memories of him as a 23 year old - he looked so cool in his white tennis sweater and his tennis racquet - I wanted to be just like him! He was so good looking, smart, an accomplished physician and a loving family member. My heart goes out to you and your family.
