i was blessed to have known richard even briefly. meet him once, and you never forget him. his humor and bigger than life personality filled the air with electricity and only the sharpest minds could keep up with him at times, mine not being one, but he was kind to me, and loved by many of those i care about as well. condolences to all. god bless.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Richard had a heart gold. He was kind and compassionate. Earlier in his life he directed plays and stage-managed many shows at the Riverview Playhouse, ODU Tech Theatre, and Colony Cabaret. He was a good friend to me and I am very saddend by his passing.
