I always enjoyed talking with Dick, he had deep knowledge of many things and a superb dry sense of humor and charming smile. Just a great all-around guy. My heart goes out to Patty and the kids. He was impactful on my life I can only imagine what this loss is to them.

My first job after serving in the Navy was at PHOTON Sources 1970 with Dick at the helm. He was the energy needed to push this company forward. RP was a great leade/mentor and fun to be with, unless you were riding in his Pantera hang on.
