I am was very saddened to hear the news about Pastor. He was a wonderful person with a heart of gold! My dad was sick for years and pastor sat with my family for hours at the hospital. When I lost my 8yr old son in a car accident Pastor and Carol drove my husband and I 3hrs to pick up my other son in Vermont. I cannot express how thankful I was for him! I knew Pastor for a long time from confirmation classes to camp every year. He made everything so much fun and always made me smile. ...

Carol & Family .. I do not know where to begin .. Pastor Scheu (Rich) was an inspiration to all he came in contact with .. When we first met that day back in June 1993, I said to Scott this is truly the Pastor I want to marry us and then as our lives brought Kyle into the world .. Kyle grew to love the man Rich was in his dealing with him at Pop's .. Rich will always be a part of our memory forever .. May Pastor rest in peace, forever & ever .. Amen

Having dealt with Pastor Scheau over the years, he was a man of enormous humor, and faith. I jokingly poked him in my columns over the years, but I had a great deal of admiration for him. I'll miss our conversations. Condolences to his family, and members of his former congregation.
