Not sure what to say?

Such an honor to grow up knowing such a wonderful man, and his entire family. As a child, I knew he was a hero, before I was "sure" what that meant.. The older I got, I was certain he was a hero, he was kind, incredibly intelligent, he and his wife raised a lovely family. I am so deeply sorry for this loss. Lary, Carol and Jeanie, all of you and yours are in thought and prayer. What a blessing to live to be 102, yet still the loss stings. Love to all.

I have been so fortunate to be mentored by Dick Schiefelbusch. I think his greatest lesson was how to engage and work with others to the benefit of those less fortunate. Another was that adversity presents opportunities, quite remarkable really from one so accomplished. Dear Schiefelbusch family, I have such an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for having known and been inspired by him. His goodness and light were and still are a positive force in this world. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hope you're feeling the love that surrounds you. Judy

I enjoyed and appreciated Dick so much! I loved being a bit involved with the writing of his memoir stories as my husband, Jerry Niebaum, helped him! His favorite attitude and word perhaps was COLLABORATION!! Oh yes, indeed!! He/we collaborated! His cheerful smile and wisdom will be missed, but we loved knowing him!!!

How fortunate I am to have befriended this amazing, graceful man in my lifetime. I will always remember him and his friend, Al, dancing arm in arm down the hall towards my office, and I cherish the mini memoirs he
gifted to me. I'm certain his angel wings will be made of gold.
Deepest sympathies for your loss of a great man.

What a remarkable life he had.. I am so grateful that I met him and spoke with him so many times at the Manor.. Breakfast was always interesting when you got to sit at his table.. Healing to the entire family and hugs. May his memories always stay with you as I know they will with me,.
