SEIFERT, Richard Edward, 79, of Chesterfield, entered into rest Monday, June 29, 2009. Mr. Seifert was a retired Manager of Maintenance and Engineering for Honeywell and a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea. He is survived by his loving wife, Marion L. Seifert; sons and their wives, Richard E. Seifert II (Beverly), David W. Seifert (Colleen) and Michael J. Seifert (Susan); and grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Ryan, Meghan, Alex and Ashton. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 4400 Beulah Road. Ennichement will be for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Church.

In the late 60's, at just 20, and a young draftsman, I was fortunate to work for this man's practise for 8 wonderful years as a young draftsman. From my interview onwards, I loved everything about this man and 55 years later, my love, respect and memory of him, remains clear and relevant.
The recognised talent, and opportunities he gave, and I took, led directly to a successful future not only in Architecture but life.

How can I put into words what I feel in my heart. Uncle Dick was such a wonderful man. He was someone we all looked up to and admired. He will always remain in my heart.
