I was the little old shopkeeper (Leslie Office Supply, Inc. - AA) compared to most who had an active vendor relationship with the U-M. Yet, on my infrequent visits to Purchasing, he provided me- and others-the utmost courtesy and he always had time to converse. I think he recognized the uniqueness of a family retail business in the era in which he worked. Dick was never too busy to talk to me and I appreciated it. "Good job, ye faithful servant of God."
