Not sure what to say?

I am very sorry to hear of Dick's passing and offer the family my deepest condolences. I became acquainted with Dick when I was a beginning ice hockey official in the south suburbs in the 1970s. Dick was always eager to help younger officials and I learned much from him. He was a pillar of our officating community in terms of demeanor, temperament, and reliability. He was also an acknowleged expert on the rules. We will keep Dick and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Dick was a special man, he will be missed but we know that he and Aunt Terry are smiling down on all of us. God Bless we love you all. Mel & Liz

I am sorry for your loss and will keep Richard in my thoughts.

United States High School Invitational 1986

Dick Sharp was WAY ahead of his time as an amateur ice hockey official. Dick was unpopular with many teams, coaches and fans because he knew and enforced the rules. He was calling the penalty standard 35 years ago that the National League changed to just 11 years ago and then amateur hockey changed to that standard a year later.

I am Honoured to have skated with Dick Sharp. If every official put in the time, dedication and effort that Dick always gave, there would never be problems...

Dear Robbie and family,
Words can't express how sad I am about the death of Richard. Dad and I became best friends over a very short period of time at MTH, I would look forward to seeing dad every morning. However, I also realize that although his journey is over in this life his eternal journey is just beginning and I'm sure he will be standing at the gates of heaven waiting to greet us all.
Love to all,
Cathy Kasper-MTH

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
