Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to read about Rick's passing. Cathy and the boys might not remember me, but I have good memories of babysitting. Sometimes just the two Shelton boys and sometimes with the two Samson girls. The four together were a lot of fun. I lived in the Presbyterian house owned by the church, so I benefitted a lot from the Shelton family's kindness. I am also the proud owner of an autographed copy of Hoggle's Christmas. Rick was a good man and he will be missed. Deepest sympathies...

This wonderful obituary was a tribute to a fine man, whose loss no doubt has been felt deeply by family and friends. I knew Rick and Cathy in their early married days through the campus Presbyterian Church they attended in Tuscaloosa where Rick's father, Jack, was pastor. I worked on a number of projects that I have valued through my life with Jack Shelton. I am so very sorry for this family's and the larger community's great loss with Rick's passing.

Absolutely brilliant tribute for a man admired by many and loved by all! They say a smile is worth a thousand words, but his smile was not only that, but greater than all his accomplishments in his life! I am honored and privileged to have know such a wonderful person! Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the thoughts I have for you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future"! This is my favorite verse from the Old Testament! Thank you for sharing and I will...

This obituary is such a beautiful tribute to your father. What an extraordinary person. I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to meet him and Cathy. My heart goes out to your family on this tremendous loss. Your memories are your treasure.
