Not sure what to say?

Paul and I are deeply sorry for your loss. We want to support his legacy by contributing to the scholarship fund at St. Joseph's School. God Bless You and Your family and hope all is well. With deepest sympathy, Paul Hejmanowski and Marycatherine Wroblewski McBride

When I think of Dick Shepps, the principal, I see his FAMOUS green jacket. I hear him whistling in his office. I remember his Monday morning, post Eagles game cheers or jeers. I see him pounding away on his Commode computer-the first principal to write his own memos! I see him sitting on the floor in the lobby with the members of his student council, planning student activities and just listening to the kids' ideas. I remember reading notes of encouragement left on my desk after a...

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the Shepps family. Dick was a wonderful man & truly impacted my life~in many ways. He was my teacher at Hillside Elementary, he was my wrestling coach at New Cumberland Junior High, and someone I went to for advice when I was on West Shore School Board. He was a gracious & hard working man for the good of the children.

Dick was my principal at Hillside Elementary for several years. I LOVED having him as a principal, the very best one I ever had. He truly loved the kids and was so encouraging to his staff. We would find encouraging notes from him in our mailboxes often thanking us for something we had done, even small things, that he had noticed. He often stopped into classrooms and the library to offer some word of encouragement. He was always well organized and ahead of the game. We never felt off...

So very sorry to see such a great fellow leave planet Earth. One who shared our strong beliefs in education. I will miss you even though our years of longevity were meager of late due to my health issues. The many memories I will treasure as I reminisce with a nostalgic touch of years gone by and especially our vivid discussions on certain aspects of education. One who knew one.. rest in peace my good friend and save a place for me!!! Joan, my good friend, accept my most sincere...

Sincere and deepest condolences to Mr. Shepps' family. It was a pleasure to have Mr. Shepps as a principal at Fishing Creek Elementary School.

Dick was one of my first principals at West Shore. He was a wonderful boss, but more importantly, he was a kind and caring man. He treated us more like family than employees. May his memory be a blessing to his family.

That is "Dick", not "Duck", but I am sure Dick would get a kick out of the typo!

Duck was a fantastic principal and a very kind man! He will be missed by many colleagues and friends. My sincere condolences go out to the Shepps family.
