Not sure what to say?

I am at work tonight, and realized the date. Rick I think of you all the time. One very big hope in life that most people have is to be remembered by others. Well my friend you live continue to live on in a lot of peoples hearts and minds. You are always with me, and I miss my friend. I hang on to the hope of seeing you again. Until then my friend.....:)

I have some kids that I wanted you to meet. Everyone of them blessings. But none more than you. You helped shape me for better or worse. Hopefully better. I miss you in a way that I did not anticipate. I wish you were here to see all of the littles. I am not the best person, but I am SO sorry. I never got to say goodbye in a proper way. My heart hurts for that, but I'll bet that you know that. Look down on me and forgive me please!! All of my love!! All!!

I met Rick Shoup in late 1980 when I moved to Houston and started skating at the Sharpstown Ice Center, so I believe this is the correct person. He lived on S. Braeswood and I lost touch with him after the following year. For some reason, he has been on my mind lately and I searched the internet to find any possible information. He was a kind and gentle person and a good friend during a period of my life that had involved a lot of change. I hope that he had a happy life and my best wishes to...

years after you passed i still think of you. you left a lasting impression on me my friend. i still tell people our story of our wonderful crazy Hawaii trip in 83. i hope i am lucky enough to see you again one day. your friend always Tommy

Grace, Gwen and Stephen,
I was just informed of your tremendous loss. I recently lost my mother to cancer and know how hard this must be for you and your family. I remember, Rick always being a kind and wonderful big brother to Stephen. All the afternoons, we spent at your house growing up, he always put up with us. My sister skated with him at the ice rink and said he was such a neat person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love,
Leslie "Lee" Harsch

Thanks Rick for the special IT leadership which you provided while working for TennecoPkg/Pactiv.
Your accomplishments remain a valuable part of our distinguished PDC beginnings. Your relationships established and our memories will last forever.

My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to your family, relatives and friends.

In the Name of the Eternal LORD,

My thoughts and prayers go out to Rick and his family in the difficult time. I met Rick back in 1981 when I moved to Texas from Missouri. We all would meet almost every weekend at the ice rink and have a ball skating and having dinner at Bennigans. Over the years with maturity and new life experiences we all in our group began to grow and live new experiences apart as well as together. I am happy to say that even if I hadn't seen Rick over the past 15 years, I still could say he was a friend....

I enjoyed reading all the great entries for Rick. they were right on as I knew Rick. I met Rick at Camco back 20+ years ago. that long golden hair was the first thing i saw followed by a huge smile. we hit it off as friends from the begining.we were kids with vision about as long as our lunch break. we were room mates although he left because i was messy.LOL. like most of the people who worked with rick our lives went in different directions, however i would run into rick at the galleria...

Grace,

I worked with Rick at HL&P for 5 years, back in the mid to late 80's. Rick and I would talk about New Youk where I'm from, he would say he would like to live there for a few years. Very nice young man. I came to respect and admire his knowledge of networking as did many of us. Although I haven't seen Rick for some time I know he will be missed. My prayers are go out to you and the family.
