Richard W. Dick Shuey

I'm so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I think about him often and learned of his recent health issues when we talked about 6 months ago. We worked together at GTE for many years and I was so impressed with his enthusiasm for his job and life. He used to bring me the local newspaper ( he called it the "weekly wiper" ) from his hometown Colfax,Iowa. Every time I see a Corvair I think of him. We should all be so lucky to know someone like him in our lives Thank you. Rest in Peace Ralph.

I was sadden by your loved one. I worked for
GTE for 35 yrs and retired in 1990. So I think that I ran into Dick at one time or another. Guys in that time frame were so decisive in their work, like Dick. Dick was a GT lifer.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Dick @ GTE. We were both installers and repairmen. I worked with Dick on many jobs installing telephone lines in homes and offices. He was positively the most thorough and meticulous installer who I ever worked with. He followed the book to a fault at times but if you wanted the job done right Dick was the man.
