Not sure what to say?

Richard was a great artist. He created our beautiful library. I have never seen anything better - ever. He was also a wonderful human being!

A beautiful man. He will be missed. Rest In Peace

As a fellow woodworker I always admired Richard´s dedication to fine quality workmanship and beautiful design. He leaves many beautiful examples of his work in furniture and entry doors in the Chico area and beyond. He crafted 4 sets of French doors for our own home which I admire daily. I am cannot express how sad it makes me to hear about Richard's passing. Life has a way of using time and distance to interfere with friendships when you aren't looking. While we exchanged emails, it wasn't the same. I will miss his smiling face, gentle nature and quiet resolve. The world is a lesser place, but I am certain that heaven is a much better place now. Rest in peace Richard.

It's just so hard to believe that he is gone. Richard was a gentle, intelligent, life-filled soul with a sly sense of humor and a warm and welcoming spirit. Such generosity is a beautiful thing to see in a person, and in Richard, it overflowed. Our house is fortunate to have a stunning front door that was hand-crafted by Richard. I love knowing that he designed it, worked it, and pulled the beauty out of that wood so that it glows and opens warmly to all who enter our home. Our hearts reach...

We had many wonderful memories living in the canyon, listening to jazz, our picnics on the hillside, the day I brought Zoey home, & always sailing on the water! Thank you for being a loving, caring stepdad to my girl, who you accepted as your own! You were an amazing, gifted wood artist & taught me everything I know about wood! Rest now with the angels! Always, Janet

He was a great guy, neighbor, fellow firefighter and friend. He will be missed. He left us way too soon. I enjoyed fighting fire with him in Co.26!!

A tear and a smile for this beautiful spirit who directed his life with passion for his art & sailing, committment to his community, joy for his friendships and enthusiasm for living. The memories of you make my heart sing. Soar my brother. Be free. Love you.
