Not sure what to say?

Meeting him and attending his Driver's Ed was my BEST experience attending Evans. His Classes could/should be required for every High School and funded by the Auto Insurance companies in Florida because Lord this man saved so many lives. I have no doubt. RIP

Coach Skelton was my track and cross country coach from 1974 to 1976. I remember helping him with Drivers ed. I will always remember him.

Mr. Skelton was my drivers ed. teacher when I went to Evans in 1978. I will always remember him telling his class about the "10 o'clock 2 o'clock" hand position while driving. It's amazing the little things you remember in school. I must have listened as I have never been in a accident yet. A super nice man who gave more then he realized. He will be missed.

The world lost a great man in Coach Skelton. I ran Track and Cross Country for Coach from 1971 to 1973. He helped me land a scholarship to Indian River CC in 1974.
Coach was a major influence in my life and in the years that followed We would Golf together and remember the old days. He was my Coach and Mentor. I will never Forget him and the lives of all the people he help make better

As I attended the service today for Coach Skelton, I saw and heard how much he meant to so many. I was lucky enough to serve as an EHS track & cross country manager for this special man from '73-'75. He was a wonderful coach, teacher, and mentor. Coach inspired, motivated, and cared for every student and athlete he came in contact with.
It had been almost 30 years when I received a phone call one evening from Coach. He had heard of my dad's passing and had tracked me down to...

I will always have fond memories of Coach Skelton and my track and cross country days. He was a great mentor and cared about every kid he taught and coached. I will miss him very much.

Coach Skelton was my coach for three years at Evans H.S. both cross country and track. He was both a master coach and a friend. When I think of what a coach should be Coach Skelton was that. I will never forget the hell week he would put us through each year to get us in better shape quicker than the rest of the schools. I remember he would work us hard and wanted us to share that when we beat a school in cross country. We would own that school the rest of the season. He would motivate...

My deepest sympathies to Rick & Jeff, your Dad was very special to all who were fortunate enough to know him. He did all things for both of you, especially baseball, when he helped me in 1987, possibly the best season in Edgewater HS baseball history. He scouted all the teams we were going to play and would dictate on how we should pitch to each player...almost every decision I made that season was mainly on his advice. Yes, he was very special and will never be forgotten.
May God...

Coach Skelton was truly one of a kind. Way back in the fall of 1974, we won the metro conference championship in cross country and he was as ecstatic as we were. He was a master motivator to be sure but I also remember his delightful sense of humor. You are well remembered Coach! God's Peace!
