Joanne, Beth(y), & Scott-I am so sorry for Richard's passing at such a young age. I just happened to come across his obituary (from years ago) while playing online tonight. Even though it's been many years for you all, I know that grief has it's own timetable. God bless you all as your lives move forward. (Weird fact: Donna passed away on July 26th too but it was a different year-I found that obituary years later as well)...Hi, Beth(y).

Joanne: I am so sad to learn about Richard's passing. Even though it's been many years since we've spoken, I remember happy times of being "young marrieds" together making our way in the world. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Richard was kind hearted, fun, and will be missed by those who knew him.

I only have fond memories of Richard as he was one of my roommates at Kentucky Southern College in 1963. We roomed together in a large neoclassical Greek revival style house on Alta Vista in Louisville. One evening in a state of exhaustion, I went to bed early while Richard and Ray Smith, our other roommate, decided to play cards for entertainment. Apparently I began to snore a bit annoyingly. Thus, my roommates...

Joanne, I really would love to be able to come to the service today but I am baby sitting for my 7 week old granddaughter this week and there is nobody else available. I really appreciated what you told me yesterday about Richard thinking about me often. Sorry I was such a basket case when I was talking to you. There were just so many good memories that came flooding back.
