Just received an email on this anniversary of Dick´s passing. I still miss Dick and Jimmy greatly and speak about them often. It´s a great sorrow to me that my fiancé never got to meet them because they were so important to me. Dick was truly an incredible one of a kind man!!

I'm so sorry to hear of dicks passing, we work together at Smith Kline for 20 years. He was always A great friend and will be missed. We had some great times together. My heart broke upon reading this. I'm in South Burlington now, and thought I'd call Dickie to talk about Notre Dame and the football season. Dick and Jimmy helped me so much when I was in college across the lake at Plattsburgh where they would go to bet the horses. I stayed in touch with each until they passed. They felt like family and I always will remember the laughs and stories that Dickie told me about his youth and athletics.Could someone from the family send me an email and tell me...

To the entire Smullen family my deepest condolences. it was great having Dick, Rosie and the entire Smullen clan living across the street. I always had a chuckle when my Mom would tell me that Dick called to discuss a local political happening or a big sporting event. Hopefully Dick can say Hi to Norb and Cassie now that they are together. Sorry for your loss and always remember the good times.
