Not sure what to say?

I will be presumptuous enough to voice the commiserative regret for an entire generation of students at NIC who did not experience the privilege from Duke's tutelage. What a rich life indeed! An aspiration of all who walk this campus!

Duke was one of the first instructors I had at North Idaho College when I returned from Desert Storm in 1991. His dedication to the scientific study of australopithecines and their connection to sasquatch intrigued me so much that I took every class Duke offered. He will forever be one of my favorite instructors. My prayers go with you, Duke.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I knew Duke through his daughter Bev back when we were in High School and am thankful for that.

Duke was thoroughly enjoyable to work with and engaging whenever I would see him after his retirement. A generation of North Idaho students benefited from his humor and passion for the social sciences.

A vibrant mind! He was an asset to our community, and will remain in the hearts of many.

Duke, You were a very supportive colleague at NIC. I ran into you a couple of years ago at a local restaurant and you treated me with your usual banter. I will say a prayer for your eternal repose.

The Ladies and Gentlemen of the Washington State Veterans Cemetery extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Richard Snyder for your loss, to honor his service to our country and our patriotic hero.
