Richard Sobel

I will never forget sitting in the Sobel's beautiful living room sharing my song, Lake Michigan, that Rick asked me to sing. He was always generous and supportive of my art.

Every few weeks I walk my dog in Wilmette where I grew up. We circle the block and go by the Sobel's house. I always stop and say hello to Rick and his family. They live in my heart. What a blessing to know Rick.

I think of him often and miss his vibrant, unique soul.

champion.
His father Walter is also remembered as a
wonderful supporter of architecture and its
students.

I am still in utter shock about Dr. Sobel passing. he was my first mentor after college, and became a friend/family for the years thereafter. We miss him so much and hope to honor his legacy as a scholar and wonderful person.

The Emrich Family and BrightStar Home Care team extend our sorrows.

Rick was a good guy and great classmate. RIP.

Rick was a brilliant, supportive friend since child hood. My heart goes out to his families and friends.
