I learned about the passing of Coach Soisson August 17 and was very sorry to have missed his funeral. He was the only high school coach I had at Owosso St. Paul High School (he coached there from 1950 to 1955) before Dick left for Kalamazoo in 1955. He was our coach in football, basketball, baseball and golf. We had outstanding records in all 4 sports mostly due to his coaching and mentoring. He was like a 2nd father to me and I loved him dearly. He and his dear wife Rosemary returned to...

I know are whole family in some ways dealt with Coach Soisson. There were 6 children in our family and I can only remember when he taught history to our 1976 class. He took the football players to the state in 1975, where are newly flag girls went. We were thrilled. He showed us alot about being a team. I will always remember him in history class. God bless to Marie and John cause I have also lost both my parents. The memories will always be there.

Thanks for being at...

I can't express how much Dick has meant to me during my school years and beyond. He wasw a constant posative influence. We are truely saddend to see him pass. He is a true icon that will be remembered for all of the right reasons. There will be a very special place in heaven with Irish eyes smiling with him.

You are in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Jean Shane

Dear Mrs. Soisson and Family,

I was very sorry to hear from my sister Lynne about the passing of Coach Soisson. He was a wonderful, kind, and generous presence in the lives of all of us that attended either Saint Augustine Parish and School as well as Hackett High School.
I remember him fondly, and the times that my sisters and I would help Anne deliver newspapers, or we'd be over to your house to play as kids, and how he would always ask how the family was doing, and just...

To the Soisson Family,
We are sorry for the loss of a truly good man. I had the honor of driving bus for fifteen years for Mr. Soisson and the Hackett football team.
Our prayers are with you.

...i can not think of coach soisson without remembering how much i enjoyed his government class, and how, when he caught theresa johnson and i lying about why we were late for his class one day (we had gone to a&w for a quick bite), he did not embarrass us but instead calmly accepted our rather flimsy "explanations"...of course, we stayed after class and apologized to him, which he graciously accepted...i was a fan of his from that day forward...what a kind man...

I want to add my condolences to the entire Soisson family for the loss of a fine man, a fine coach, and a fine educator...I will always appreciate his patience with me in the classroom and his encouragement of my tennis endeavors....
