Not sure what to say?

I never knew Richard Henry, but he was my late father´s (also named Richard) second cousin - sharing the same great-grandparents - Richard and Anna Solem. It was really interesting to read his obituary, learning a little bit about Richard Henry and his life. To those of you who knew little about Richard Henry´s roots in Norway, I can assure you that we are many relatives in the "old country"! Some of us were fortunate enough to meet his brother Johndale and his wife Ann, as well as other US...

We are so sorry to have just gotten this notice of Richards passing. We met Richard in Costa Mesa, California at our favorite coffee shop. My husband and I enjoyed his many stories of his life in the military. Love him with all of our hearts. God bless him. Richard gave so much for our country. Richard you will never be forgotten. Peter and Cori Ebel

I was shocked to learn of Richards passing. We became good friends in the 90's in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa, CA. He was one of the most Brilliant persons I have ever known. To his sons and Fran, Please accept my condolences.

On behalf of relatives in Norway; please accept our condolences.

I am sorry to hear of Richard's passing. He was a great pilot and a Mathematician (someone in short supply today). While I did not directly know Richard, I served in the 558th Squadron in Vietnam (probably the same one with Richard) and we probably passed on the way to missions. Col. Wilbur "Andy" Anderson

We offer our sincere condolences for Richard's departure and the difficult illness that preceded it. For Wil, Richard was a long-time friend and fellow mathematician in addition to his distinguished military career. He will be missed.

We are sorry to hear of Richard, our brother- in-arms, passing.
His military career was broad and touched many others during his tours. We suspect that his USAF assignment at Cam Ranh Bay AB, RVN was with the 558th Tactical Fighter Suadron (TFS) flying F4C's (Phantom ll). Our organzation encompasses Richards squadron and covers those who served or supported the 12th TFW at MacDill AFB, FL, Cam Ranh Bay AB, RVN and Phu Cat AB, RVN. I will notify others in the 558th who may have...

I am very saddened to hear about Richard's death. He was really a very wonderful man who accomplished much in life and for his country. My condolences to his family and all who loved him.

Please accept our condolences and prayers. We are truly sorry that Richard had to carry the burden of Pick's disease. We are pleased that he was able to carry our so many accomplishments for our country.
