Not sure what to say?

What a great teacher you will be missed
My deepest sympathy

Such a great man who always thought of others first. We have so many great memories of our time together during basketball season spanning 20 years! You were a good friend and we will miss you greatly!

What great teacher and coach from my childhood. Hatched my duck Hector in Mr. Specks class.(1984) R.I.P.

Coach Speck was a big part of my Northern High School memories...spent many hours on the court with him and loved how he took us to UNC for basketball camp each summer...a totally dedicated coach and mentor. And Mr. Speck was instrumental (according to Mom Pat O'Brien) in getting Sean "organized" in his 5th grade year (his wife thanks you, too!) Our long-distance hugs go out to Becky, Ryan and Toby and your families.

prayers for the family and all of ricks friends.
went to east penn with him and so proud he was such a great, sucessful man.

"Dad" as I called him was beyond amazing. I can't begin to explain just how wonderful he was and all that he's done for us (Toby, myself and our daughter/his granddaughter, Brynley). He has gone above and beyond for us and we will never forget what an incredible father and proud, adoring, perfect grandfather he was. I love you, Dad!!!

This gentleman was Parkers bus driver to and from his school for two years. I remember the first day of sending him, Mr. Speck eased my fears of sending my non verbal child to school. When a bus driver forgot Parker and was left on the steps of his school having a meltdown because all the kids left but him, Mr. Speck was probably as upset or more as I was and reached out, made sure she would never drive my son again and got the owner of the company to reach out and apologize.

With deepest sympathy to the Speck family. I have great memories of our basketball team on and off the court, especially Saturday mornings coaching the up and coming elementary girls. Thankful for those times.

I was fortunate to have been coached by Mr. Speck in basketball. We had so many great laughs and his spirit made all the hard work that much more fun. His love of our team and the trips to rays town still make me smile. Many years later i feel lucky my son was able to meet my coach and get to see him most mornings on his walk to school, where Mr. Speck always stopped to say hi to him. I am so sorry for your loss. I feel blessed my family was able to have known such a wonderful person.
