Not sure what to say?

USS Brownson DD-518

I did not know Dick personally but he was aboard the same ship as my Dad and survived the sinking. I "got" to know he & Zoa through my research. I am so sorry to hear about his passing away but I am so glad that I got him to reconnect with some of his memories regarding his time aboard the ship. My prayers to the family. Always sad when one of my "Brownsonites" passes away!

Thank you for sharing his life story...Need to see more of them before there are no more of them memories.

Zoa, my thoughts are with you in honor of my Mom Teeny and Al Hemingsen,my Dad as he very much came to be. Joyce Vanell

My thoughts and Prayers go out the Family and friends of Uncle Dick.

What a wonderful tribute! What a life well-lived. Thank you Dick for your service and sacrifice to our country. Because of you and those like you we live in the greatest country in the world. You have earned your place in history now receive your just reward. Rest in peace.

Zoa, deepest sympathy to you and your family in the loss of Dick. I used to see him when he came to visit you at Superior. Enjoyed his razing about being the old farmer.
