Single Memorial Tree

I hope your hearts will soon be filled with the wonderful memories of Dick and all of the good times you had. Dick will be sorely missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and his partner Jan of 20 years. I met Dick through Jan, my longtime boss at Portland Community College and friend. We got together for years, especially during the holiday season, and along with politics, shared the journeys our kids were on. Dick was a caring father and very proud of his children. I am so sorry to learn of Dick's death. I had the pleasure of working with Dick when he was in the Legislature and I worked at the Oregon Department of Energy. I decided I had to get in touch with Dick to tell him how grateful I was for...

The Springers: A legacy of service to Oregon....from Richard's mother Vera to her son, Richard. Thank you Richard

Al Young served in Oregon House of Representatives with Dick. Al & Janet Young.

Dick was dedicated to Oregon and to protecting its environment. His legacy lives on in the policies he wrote and helped put in place during his time as a State Senator and Representative. Unwavering in his defense of Oregon's natural places.

What a huge loss for his family and loved ones, and for Oregon. His life made the world a better place.
