Not sure what to say?

To Dick's Family: As my wife, Edwina, and I were in California at the time of Dick's passing and memorial service, we know that you received and shared my written expression of affection and gratitude for the almost-sixty years of friendship that Dick and I enjoyed--beginning with our mutual Yale graduate school years, his in music and mine in theology, and continuing on to his and Mary Lou's many wonderful years in Santa Fe. The fact that we really did, even as the years advanced, continue,...

I was very sorry to hear of Richard's passing but was out of the country and unable to participate in the choir for his service. I have fond and grateful memories of meeting Richard when I first moved to Santa Fe as the new Director of Music at St. John's United Methodist. He referred me to a number of local musicians and we became good professional friends. Mary Lou and I taught together at Carlos Gilbert Elementary School. The Stark family has my deepest sympathy.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I only knew Richard from my yearly visits to Santa Fe, visiting friends. Richard was always at the pool. We would always go to breakfast after those swim practices and drink really strong coffee. We talked alot about music and our mutual love of the Lord.
Richard was a great inspiration!!!!

The family of St.Andrew's by the Lake, Duluth, MN and, especially, the Friday Prayer Group, send you our condolences. You and those you hold dear are held in our hearts and prayers

Greetings and condolences to the whole Stark family. Jeff is my spiritual friend and congregant here in the northland. Given Mr. Stark's amazing life, I can see that Jeff shares the same wisdom, artistic bent, and Anglican sensibilities.
Thanks be to God. May light perpetual shine up your beloved father, grandpa and friend.
In Christ.
