My condolences to your family. Mr. Steele was my office ed teacher at John Marshall for two years (11th & 12th grade). He was also my favorite teacher. I actually don't remember any other teacher or faculty except him. Class of '79

Mr Steele was a wonderful teacher. He made going to class enjoyable. He had a great sense of humor. I was very lucky to have had him as my teacher and role model.

What a love this man was!!!!! He loved a good meal, he loved a good drink, he loved to travel, he loved his homes, he loved to laugh, he loved his friends, he loved Robert! He will never, ever be duplicated! Lucky are all our friends in heaven that he is now their love! The testimonials from his former students are just priceless. What a great loss we have suffered!!!

Mr. Steele was my homeroom teacher at John Marshall High School from 1968 to 1972. He was the kindest man. During those brief fifteen minutes, he always managed to make us feel we mattered and were heard. Even for those of us like myself who were shy and quiet, he had a way of gently seeking us out and giving us the opportunity to voice our thoughts.Thank you, Mr. Steele for getting this introvert sanely through high school. You have always been remembered fondly.

What can I possibly say that hasn't been said about how wonderful Richard was and how his loss has impacted all. I only knew Richard but a few short years but he was always warm, friendly, and a kind gracious man with class. Always impeccably dressed and a host beyond words. My condolences to Robert and everyone who knew Richard. You will be missed Richard with your warm smile and compassion!
