Not sure what to say?

Dick was a good man and there were reasons for this. He came from a good family and married into a good family. He made Weymouth a better place. My respect to the Steele's and the Mannings. God bless.

Dickie, Greg, Robin , David & family,
We lost a great leader, mentor, Father, Grandfather and friend . Dad always left a lasting positive impression with those he came in contact with and he had something special in his stern demeanor yet caring and trusting heart, which made him successful and special through out his life. My thoughts are with you all during this time .
Your friend,
Okey

so sorry for your loss .Your father was a wonderful role model to many young men in the turbulent 60's. He was my football coach and taught me all about teamwork and how to kick a football

What an amazing tribute. I have heard many stories of Dick from my Mom, Joie Tanner. He was an amazing man and raised such a wonderful family. What a legacy he has left. He will be in my prayers during this Holy week. God bless. Teresa Tanner Roth

Dick was my principal when I first started as librarian in the Weymouth schools. It was at East Junior. One incident shows how supportive he was . During homeroom period teachers could issue passes to the library to any students who asked. Dick walked in one day early in the year during this period and things were not under control. He took a good look and left. I thought he figured I was doing a terrible job..until the next faculty meeting when he opened telling of his library visit...

I want to my deepest sympathy to Dick's family and to Peg. I had the opportunity to teach at South High during Dick's tenure as principal. His leadership at difficult times of restructuring was deeply appreciated by staff and students. He was a wonderful man and leader.
