Not sure what to say?

Just found this page. I worked with Dick at KUOM as an engineer at the Minnesota School of the Air. Later on, I did a lot of photography for filmstrips at EMC. He was a great friend.

I just heard of Dick's passing tonight, and it makes me very sad indeed. I worked in his sales department at Digital Excellence as a sales assistant, and he was always very kind and gracious to me, even the few times I ran into him after I left. So sorry for your loss, Meredith. I'm glad to have known him.

I was so very sad to learn of Dick's passing. I've known him since my EMC days back in the late 80s and have many good memories. My thoughts and hugs are sent to you, Meredith, and the rest of the family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I learned yesterday the very sad news of Dick's Passing. I had a tremendous amount of respect both professionally and personally for
him.

He carried a great wealth of industry knowledge. He was a mentor, strong leader and a decent and kind human being.

My deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with Stevens family in thier time of loss.

Thanks so much Dick for sharing your knowledge. It was well appreciated.

I got my start at KUOM at the U of MN also, as did several others who went on to community radio station KFAI. We were very fortunate to have such a talented, hard working, thoughtful, and kind gentleman as a colleague on the KFAI board.

Dick was an amazing mentor and friend to me. Your smile in the office is missed. Thank you for all your advice and support.

I am a Board member of FKAI and so appreciated getting to know Dick. Smart guy, kind and hardworking. So great that memorials go to KFAI. He loved our Fresh Air Radio. Condolences to his family.

Meredith, Greg, and David--I've been sad these past weeks knowing that Dick is no longer with us. I've truly enjoyed the past 28 years of knowing him and sharing many family get-togethers with all of you. I still can't really believe he's gone--I prefer to think that we're all playing a game of hide-and-seek and Dick is just taking a long time to find (he is awfully clever and that would be like him, wouldn't it?) Anyway, take care--I'll see you at the service. --Karen
