Read MoreI was in the Explorer Scouts when he was the leader for 4 years. We played Canasta many times on Sunday afternoons at his house in Brighton with his family and other scouts. It rained every time we went camping. He was my best friend during that time. He encouraged me to do several things I had not done before. They built up my confidence.

I have great memories of Rick, Troop 281 and growing up in Brighton. I appreciate the obituary that help me know about his later years. He was a quality person and the world is a better place because he lived. Prayers for the family
