STIFF, Richard - Of Flint, age 75, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Avalon Hospice, after a four year battle with Leukemia. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m Monday, June 20, 2011 at Bristol United Methodist Church, G-5285 Van Slyke Road, Flint, Reverend Marvin Herman officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or Bristol United Methodist Church. Visitation 12-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mr. Stiff will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. Richard was born in Flint, Michigan on June 4, 1936. He was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church. He enjoyed singing, playing softball, running, woodworking and was a master gardener. Mr. Stiff retired in 1991 from Chevrolet Manufacturing after 36 years of service. Surviving are wife of 53 years, Marimae; three children, Craig (Debbie), Michelle (Jeff) Garrison and Mike (Angie); eight grandchildren, Brooke (Chris) Migliaccio, Ashley Stiff, Logan Stiff, Gavin Stiff, Kegan Garrison, Briana Garrison, Stephanie Stiff and Hunter Stiff; three great-grandchildren, Sophie and Storie Migliaccio and Harper Smith; his mother, Dorothy Stiff; brothers, Douglas Stiff and John (Sharon) Stiff. special friends, Dave and Bev, Marge and Jack, Bill and Joyce, Dan and Marilyn. He was preceded in death by father, Ralph Stiff and sister, Donna. Special thank you to the Great Lakes Cancer Center, especially Rob, Linda, Tammy and Susan. I am sorry to hear about Dick's passing. We worked together for 20 years and I enjjoyed knowing him. I have thought about him frequently since his retirement. I will continue to have good memories and hope your memories will bring comfort to you.

We were saddened to here of Richards passing. Richard and Marimae
