Remembering Dr. Stillman brings a smile to my heart. He and I served on several UNO committees together...he as the teacher advisor...I as the student representative. Many years have past, but he continued to remember me with holiday exchanges. Dr. Stillman was not only intelligent, but humorous. His positive influence and guidance will remain with me.
God Bless!

Dr. Stillman was my advisor at UNO, and one of the reasons I graduated. He was a brilliant teacher, who brought real-life experiences to his classes. I remember when he was building his home in the 60's. The bell ending class would ring, and Dr. Stillman would hurriedly change into his tennis shoes, and sprint across campus to the adjoining subdivision, to meet a subcontractor working on his new home. Dr. Stillman was a great mentor and friend. My condolences to his family.

Dr. Stillman was one of the first professors I had at UNO in the mid 1970's. I still remember his lectures as being informative, lively, entertaining and educational. He taught me many life lessons and even though his class was decades ago his impact is still felt today. I am sorry for your loss and for the loss to the entire New Orleans area.
