My sincere condolences to the family. I moved to Seattle and lived there for a period of time in the early 1980´s. Once I met them, Mr. and Mrs. Stoops made me feel so welcome in their home. I missed my parents and Richard reminded me quite a lot of my dad. I remember him as quiet, thoughtful and industrious. He was a wonderful and kind man. Although it´s kind of cliche, Richard really DID have a twinkle in his eye and a lovely chuckling laugh. He will be sorely missed, I know.

Dick Stoops was a member of the Driftwood Acres community in Ronald Washington. Dick was the first Driftwood Acres member that I met after I purchased my cabin in the neighborhood. I purchased my cabin in 2008 and during the 2009 yearly meeting I was approached by Dick to see if I would accept the Water Chairman position if he nominated me.
