I´m so sad about this! Richard was a good family friend for many years. There was literally NEVER a dull moment around this amazing man! His quick and razor sharp wit, his creative and inclusive humor, his kindness and generosity...he always has been and always will be an inspiration to me. My heart sinks for Jennifer and Zach. Richard was an unbelievable human being, full of joy, witty, smart and charismatic. He gave me my first 2 pages editorial in Departures putting my brand in front of the most discerning individuals. I always reached out to him for guidance and he always delivered. I will miss his mischievous smile and his sense of humor.

He was a fantastic person, he gave me a break at Departures giving me the opportunity to write a few articles. But most of all, he encouraged me to workshop a book I was working on, soon to be released. I remember a cold day in Harlem when Richard, Jennifer, and I took a walking tour. He wanted to know everything. Truly a great day in Harlem.
