STOTT, Richard "Ron" - Of Davison, age 62, died Monday, June 2, 2008 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 12Noon Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Tim McDonald, officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Contributions may be made to The Shriners Hospitals for Children - Chicago. Visitation 4-8PM Friday, 12-3PM and 5-8PM Saturday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted under the auspices of Goodrich Lodge #458 on Saturday evening at 7PM. Visitation 11AM Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Ron had a strong love for and commitment to his country, serving in the Marine Corps with tours of duty in Japan and Vietnam. His dedication to others was exemplified by the many organizations he served. He worked with the Young Marines Program, was a United States Air Marshall, retired Sheriff's Deputy, DAV member and service officer, member of the Soldier's Relief Commission, member of the Consortium on Child Abuse and Neglect, Master Mason, Shriner and Shrine Security Officer and Colonel in the Genesee County Sheriff's Reserves. He will be greatly missed by all. Surviving are daughter, Michelle and husband Patrick Reynolds; the love of his life, Susan Elder; daughter, Jennifer and husband Michael Page; grandchildren, Daen, Mariah, Emily, Sophia, Meghan and Alexis; mother, Margaret and husband Glen Wiederhold; half-brother, Glen "Roger" Wiederhold; half-sister, Suzanne Brooks; dear friend, Ed Isom and family; many nieces, nephews and special friends.
