Richard Stout

Richard "Dick" Graham Stout was born on September 18, 1935 in Torrance, CA. In 1953, Dick graduated Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, CA. He served in the US Army from October 24, 1958 to October 21, 1960 at Fort Bragg, NC where he received a good conduct medal. Dick graduated from Cal State University of Long Beach on June 2, 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He worked for 34 years as a Production Scheduler in the Aerospace Industry. Dick is survived by his wife, Cheryl Stout, whom he married on September 29, 1984. Dick enjoyed spending time with family. Dick has two children from his first marriage, Ellen Stout and Tim (Kristi) Stout and Cheryl has two children, Jim (Theresa) DeGraffenreid and Julie (Mort) Dorris. All together they have five grandchildren - Sheridan DeGraffenreid, Steve DeGraffenreid, Megan Stout, Joshua Dorris and Ryan Dorris. Dick had a strong personal relationship with God. He was very active in the Disciples of Christ Christian Church and in the Christian Men's Fellowship at the regional and national levels for many years. Dick and Cheryl enjoyed traveling, especially to San Francisco and Oregon, where the visited lighthouses along the Pacific Coast. Dick was a collector of watches and clocks of all kinds and enjoyed reading, music and computers. Dick was an original 'foodie', he loved trying new foods and cooking before it was the 'in-thing' to do. After a long and fulfilling life, Dick entered eternal life on July 3, 2018 and we know he is watching over his family today, and until the day we meet again.
