Rev. Richard G. Strass

We all loved Father Strass tremendously here in Alaska. I grew up with him as our priest in Soldotna, and I'll never forget his kindness, wonderful sermons, down-to-earth personality, and his devotion to the poor and needy. My favorite memories are of him performing Mass in the little log church in Cooper Landing. We were truly blessed to have him as our priest.

He will forever remain in our thoughts and memories.

On behalf of my brother Frank and sister-in-law Dorothy, we express our deepest sympathy on the loss of Father Richard. Just knowing him for a short time as my room-mate at the Lexington Healthcare Center, he had to be a great person and will be missed by many. He will be remembered in our prayers. May he now rest in peace.
