I learned only recently about Richard's passing...a poignant loss for his family and all who knew him. My acquaintance was through his amazing wife Nancy, one of the most generous, engaging and loving women I have ever known. At every meeting (several parties with friends and at the Strick home in Santa Monica), Richard was humorous, accepting and gracious. I can fondly imagine his and Nancy's trekking around the globe together, learning, enjoying adventures and profoundly loving one another.

Certainly one of the finest and classiest people I ever met. For years, a member of the Scrabble community.

We will always be thankful that we were able to enjoy Richard and his wonderful family in our lives for many decades. A nicer man could not have existed, and he will be missed from the bottom of our hearts forever!

This is a spectacular tribute, but to those of us close family and friends even this is understated. RIP brother.

What a devoted member of the Santa Monica community. My son Chester Englander was coached by him and Chester´s big brother Jay Dodge was his assistant and we all benefited from knowing him. Go
