We were so sorry to hear about Dick’s passing. He had struggled for such a long time and he is now finally at peace. Our hearts go out to Jean and the family. Jean’s patience and love were non-waivering and she has definitely been an inspiration to us. We are sending our love and asking that God give you strength to get through this difficult time.

Dick was a church friend first; then more broadly as he and Jean shared meals and opera performances with JoAnn and me on numerous occasions. Once JoAnn learned that Dick was an operaphile, his stock went way up with her, and we enjoyed numerous Peabody Conservatory performances in Baltimore, and Metropolitan Opera HD performances on the Avalon Theater screen in Easton, MD (where JoAnn gives the pre-performance talks).
