Not sure what to say?

Was a grad student with Richard at U of I. The rest of us had four years of deferment which lasted until we were 26 and exempt, not so with Dick, or just Stutzke as we all called him. Glad to hear he did so well, sorry to hear he died so early.

Dick was part of the North Alabama Country Dance Society for years. His death is all of Huntsville's loss.

If all would be so kind to others on and off the ice the world would be a great place, and Mr. Dick always found time to do just that. We will all miss him. Bye.

Dick's personality and technical sophistication influenced much of my work and his legacy will continue to influence advancements in software cost estimation in years to come. Oh, and he also had a knack for finding great restaurants in random places.

I saw Dick every October at the COCOMO conference at USC. He was one of the people my husband, Brad, and I always looked forward to seeing. Such a smart, kind and wonderful person - truely a gentleman. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. We will miss him.

I met Dick when he, as an SAIC emplyee, joined the SSES contract at SED. I got to know Dr. Stutzke quite well in the short year our lives intersected. I had the opportunity to attend several classes Dick taught; I enjoyed his fresh approach to software metrics. I have not seen Dick for years, but I will never forget him.

Dick was such a talented man. I will always remember his papers and presentations that are his ISPA (International Society of Parametric Analysts) legacy.

It was wonderful to participate in the 2005 Christmas Show and 2006 Spring Show at the Huntsville Ice Complex with Dick. He will be missed.

The Family,
We are all truely sorry for your loss. Dick was a fine man and friend whom we each enjoyed knowing.
