Not sure what to say?

Ruth,
On behalf of the American Fighter Aces Association, I send our condolences for your loss. I always enjoyed meeting both of you at the annual convention of the AFAA.

Frank Olynyk,
Historian, AFAA.

Dear Mrs. Suehr and Family,

I was a cadet in the EE Smith AFJROTC program from 1977 to 1979 under Lt Col Richard Suehr, USAF Retired. He was an inspiration to me. By God's grace, I became an Air Force officer then chaplain. I retired after 22 years on active duty in the rank of lieutenant colonel. My deep appreciation to your loved one for his faith and service to God and country. God bless you in your time of mourning.

My thoughts are prayers are with you and your family in this time of grief.

We lift you up in prayer during this time of grief. While I didn't have an opportunity to meet Mr. Suehr, I feel that I know something about him through the many years that I had to opportunity to work with Rick. May God give you the peace and assurance that passes all understanding during this time.

To the Suehr family:

LTC Suehr started the junior AFROTC progam at E.E. Smith in 1968. I was one of the first cadets in that program. He inspired me to want to become a military pilot-I did not know at the time that he was a WW II aviation hero. I never got my wings, but I did serve for 22 years as an Army physician. His dedication and service to our nation had a positive influence on my decision to serve. I'm sure he would forgive me for choosing Army green over Air Force...

Dear Ruth, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. You are much in my thoughts. Loretta Williford
