Richard J. "Dick" Sundberg

My deepest sympathy goes out to Kelly, Jennifer, and the entire Sundberg family. We were next-door neighbors to Dick and Lorna for many years on Greenbrier Drive. They were the first to welcome us to the neighborhood when we moved into the old Harbert house. I have a distinct memory of Dick coming over to a Christmas party, which greatly excited my cousin who ran to tell me "Dr. Richard Sundberg is here!" I said yes, he´s my neighbor. What a sad day. Mr. Sundberg was a long-time client and we enjoyed his calm personality and willingness to listen, even if he ultimately chose to do something else. We will miss talking with him.

My sympathy on the loss of your father. I worked as Dr. Sundberg's secretary in the Chemistry Dept. at UVA during the early 90's. I always thought him quiet and shy. He was truly an acadamian, and thought very fondly of by both me and his students.
