Not sure what to say?

Reserved , dignified , caring and loving his friends and family ; patriot , proud Duke alum , brilliant and kind , successful lawyer, political figure and businessman with faith and generosity. In all a great great man and good pal who I will always miss and cant imagine a world without Richard .

Our heartfelt condolences to the Swann & McAuliffe family.

Richard was an iconic figure in Florida politics, but more than anything, I believe, he was an exemplary father and grandfather. Family meant everything to him and he will be so missed by this wonderful extended clan, as well as a host of friends. I feel fortunate to have known and learned from him.

Richard was a friend, business associate, and patient in our office for many years. We will miss him. At different times we shared the same home, (Whiteholme on Gatlin Ave).
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Godspeed Mr. Swann. It was an honor to be a member of your firm for 11 years, and to be your personal assistant my last 2 years there. You were truly one of a kind and very highly respected. Peace and prayers to your family.

Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord:
And let light perpetual shine upon him.
