Not sure what to say?

"Uncle Dick" was a gem and I have many many fond memories of him while he was one of my docents at the NCM and after with all the emails we shared. He loved his family, nation and friends and we loved him. He is and will be missed.

Fran and Family,

Thanks for letting us share Dick with you. We know he was a great husband, father and friend. We shared many things over the years and he will be greatly missed but will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Aloha Dick, and Mahalo
for your friendship. Enjoy your
everlasting tropical paradise.

Dear Fran and Family,
I am fortunate to have many fond memories of Dick. He was the chef at the family cookouts, the tour guide in Hawaii, and a great person to meet at the local watering holes. When Joan met him, she was impressed by his devotion to his family, especially his beloved granddaughter Heather. We will miss him.
Love, Ken and Joan

Dick and I have been friends since the sixties. We worked together and enjoyed many hours of fellowship at the Agency. Fortunately just last month we visited the museum and had lunch together with some friends. A followup to our many conversations through exchanging emails. Dick will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with Fran and his children.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I will also remember him for his love of the Navy and his work at the National Crptologic Museum.

Fran and family,
Bobby and I are deeply saddened to learn of Syl's passing. Know that you are in our prayers as we know you will miss him dearly.
We will never forget sharing our weeks journey home from Cyprus with both of you and your first two children. You were the perfect couple to share a lot of funny experiences and laughs with. They are cherished memories.
Love,

There are so many memories of Dick that is is hard to come up with the best. One we always got a real charge out of was his rendition of a Taiwan bus attendents whistle used when backing up the bus. A great thing for parties. I remember a favorite saying of his was "No beer, no analysis" We will always remember and miss his wit and friendship. Somewhere he will light up a room or a universe.

We were deeply sadden to hear of Dick's passing and will always remember the good times we had together over many years. He was a true Navy man and a hard working government employee. He like to have fun and enjoyed spending time friends and coworkers on and off the job. God bless him and his family.

I had a rather interesting exchange of e-mails about a month ago with Mr. Sylvester regarding the NSA Museum and Tom Clancy.

He seemed to be a perfect gentleman with the kind of knowledge that only those inside the "palace" gain from many years watching the bad guys. He was very proud of the NSA museum and its recording of NSA's successes over the years.

Too often we all tend to focus on those who do face to face, hand to hand combat when we honor veterans on Memorial and...
