Rest In Peace Dickie. God grant comfort and Strength to your family. My favorite memory that I will always cherish is of you and Bobby singing many songs and playing the guitar at my wedding to Carlos back in Sept 1980. My favorite song “That’s All.” 40+ years later we are still together. You both were a blessing and you will be forever in our hearts.

I am so sorry at the passing of Dicky. Always enjoyed his company when we were schoolmates. I knew he would go onto great things with the upbringing his parents provided. The Tafoya family has always been an inspiration in my life. To Bobby, Cynthia and the rest of the Tafoya family, I offer my deepest condolences.

As a pre-med student at UCSB I had the great pleasure of meeting dickie when he came to visit "Los Curanderos" on one of his visits(vacation) from medical school. Los curanderos is a premed student group he helped organize and support. He made medical school seem possible for those of us who lacked confidence and sorely lacked mentors. His words of encouragement and support had a lasting impression and will always appreciate them. He was a needed trailblazer and trendsetter, who made of...

Our early years (5-10) growing up together is always fresh in my memory. Playing, working and yes praying.
The days we did not go to work with your dad we stayed home and planned on watching Superman. Only problem we had is your mom (my aunt Carrie) made us say the rosary every afternoon. If we prayed too fast we had to repeat the prayer.
We seemed to always miss the first few minutes of the program.
Rest In Peace.

Cousin Dickie, You were a great primo and role model to all the Valencia's of Lompoc. We loved all the Tafoya's and we were so proud of you. We will see you again at a family picnic at Arroyo Verde Park in Heaven someday! Cousin Jim Valencia

Dr.Tafoya, you were a very busy doctor.....each facility I would work at , you would have at least 1patient & seeing your name as the attending MD made my job easier because you were never one of those rude doctors & you were always in a pleasant mood each time we would speak. Just by doing simple acts as being kind to other makes a difference & gave me confidence during hectic times knowing that you trusted the recommendations I would have. Rest In Peace to one of the kindest doctors,...
