Dick was a very special man and my mentor in the City of Richmond. I learned so much from him. Together we created the Adopt-a-Tree program and planted over 2000 trees in the first two years of the program. Under Dick´s leadership, the city created a Richmond Shade Tree Commission. I was honored to serve as their coordinator for many years. I was so saddened to hear today of his passing. Dick brought an unmatched level of care to the city´s urban forest. Rest In Peace my friend.

We have many fond memories of Dick since we've been friends since he dated Barb and we were in their wedding. Dick was always fun to be with - lots of laughs! Enjoyed their visits back in Wisconsin. Much love to Barb, Rick and Laura.
